Title: It’s All About Us, 2010

Materials: hand shaped ceramic elements, commercial ceramic tile, mirror, natural stone.

Dimensions: 4.5’ x 24’

Community involvement: 200 volunteers participated in creating individual ceramic piece, which later was incorporated into the mosaics.

Design concept: library district residents (mostly emigrants from different parts of the world) of the library district were asked to contribute natural stones and rocks that were brought from their country.

This mural represents celebration and support of local community’s values: nature, culture, active lifestyle history and heritage.
